InferRead Lung CT.AI uses a Deep Learning Detection and Segmentation Model to detect, segment, and measure suspicious cancerous lung nodules from Chest CT scans. After a nodule is detected, the model classifies the nodule (Calcified, Solid, Pure GGN, Mixed GGN, and Suspicous Mass). Diameter, volume and densities are computed based on the segmented nodule. Nodules are marked on the corresponding slices. The location and sizes are displayed.
The AI algorithm was trained with hundreds of thousands of datasets. Data was collected from multiple types of lung nodules, image attributes, age and gender, and application scenario to ensure robustness and generalization of the model.
In the daily work of radiologists, analyzing CT images to screen for pulmonary nodules is a challenging task, the main reasons are large volume of images, quantity, varying position and morphology of nodules, physician and visual fatigue, and shortage of experience.
InferRead Lung CT.AI is a specialized post-processing software to help radiologists detect pulmonary nodules by generating CADe (computer-aided detection) annotations on CT series. After loading DICOM images into the software, lung nodules can be automatically detected, generating the localization coordinates of the nodules. Radiologists can then view the images and nodule detection information through the existing PACS system or the InferRead Lung CT.AI viewer. InferRead Lung CT.AI utilizes the latest deep learning (DL) technology for nodule detection.
InferRead Lung CT.AI supports concurrent reading and aids radiologists. For example, it can be used in lung cancer screening or other examination to automatically and quickly identify lung nodules, measure them for the radiologist to review, thus enhancing their capabilities. It could be especially useful when there are great demand and time constraints by doing the work in the background and presenting radiologists nodules already marked.
Indications for use: lnferRead Lung CT.AI is comprised of computer assisted reading tools designed to aid the radiologist in the detection of pulmonary nodules during the review of CT examinations of the chest on an asymptomatic population. Infer Read Lung CT.AI requires that both lungs be in the field of view. lnferRead Lung CT.AI provides adjunctive information and is not intended to be used without the original CT series.
