New Cardio AI Feature Provides Automatic Strain Analysis

New Cardio AI Feature Provides Automatic Strain Analysis

Introducing Strain + AI: A new Cardio AI feature that provides automatic myocardial strain and function analysis using deep learning and MRI

Today's cardiac MRI myocardial strain analysis solutions are not practical or user-friendly. The analysis process often requires complicated scan procedures and results are dependent on physicians manually editing myocardial contours, which is highly time-consuming. When looking for an ideal cardiac MRI myocardial strain analysis solution, it should provide:

  • Robust results that are reliable, quantitative, visually confirmable, and that separates normal from disease tissue
  • Little to no additional scan time
  • Automated analysis with little to no need for human intervention

The Ideal Myocardial Strain Analysis Solution

Arterys has been working hard over the last several months, and we have some exciting news to share! We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new Cardio AI premium feature, Strain + AIPowered by 4D Flow. This new feature provides cardiologists and radiologists with fast and reliable automated myocardial strain analysis.

Strain + AI has beautiful, easy to interpret color and vector overlays, 17-segment models, and plot curves and automatically provides strain and strain rate decomposed into radial and circumferential components as well as myocardial velocity.

What Makes This Feature Unique?

With other available automated MRI myocardial strain analysis solutions (i.e., tagging or feature tracking), accurate results depend on tracking points in 3D space and physicians editing myocardial contours. Whereas the Arterys Cardio AI strain feature incorporates a deep learning myocardial velocity and strain model, eliminating the need for time-consuming contour editing to obtain reliable strain results. This is achieved by actually measuring the velocity of the myocardium using 4D Flow and creating a deep learning model that can predict the myocardial velocity from just a short axis SSFP stack.

This new feature removes redundant work and tedious editing, saving cardiologists and radiologists time for making consistent and data-driven decisions while still allowing users the ability to edit the results if necessary.

Optimized Workflow

Cardio AI does not require on-premises hardware, and results are accessible from anywhere and any device through a single user-interface zero-footprint viewer and an internet connection. It seamlessly integrates with Powerscribe or Fluency dictation software ensuring exams are read accordingly and consistently.
